he Department of Family and Consumer Sciences is one of only two programs in Illinois, and 59 programs nationwide, to be accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. The Department also is accredited by the American Dietetic Association, and the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, formerly FIDER.
Family and Consumer Sciences offers bachelor's and master's degrees in several exciting professions, including Apparel Merchandising and Design, Interior and Environmental Design, Food, Nutrition and Dietetics, Human Development and Family Resources, and Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher Education, as well as graduate programs that include our Dietetic Internship and Child Life Programs.
