Research Interests:

Dr. Anderson's primary research interest concerns family dynamics in the presence of parental chronic illness, principally multiple sclerosis. A secondary line of interest involves developmental psychomusicology and natural, human musicality. Publications have been included in Children and Youth Services Review, NCFR Report, and Psychomusicology

Profile:

After several years in Church Music and, later, Music Therapy, Dr. Anderson joined the Family and Consumer Sciences faculty of ISU in 2006. Prior to coming to Illinois State, he taught educational psychology, human development, music therapy techniques, and guitar at the University of Alabama. Dr. Anderson has also had several musical compositions published over the years.
