Admission

  1. Completion of a didactic program in dietetics.

  2. A cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 ( on a 4.0 scale) is preferred. Individuals with a lower G.P.A. will be considered.

  3. A minimum score of 420 on the verbal portion of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is preferred.

  4. A cumulative score of 1000 on the Verbal and Quantitative portions of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and is preferred.

  5. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 for all International students is required.

  6. Completion of a minimum of 150 hours of paid or volunteer work experience in food service and/or nutrition care is preferred.

If you do not meet all of the minimum/preferred requirements but believe that you are an excellent candidate for the program at Illinois State, we encourage you to apply.  All applications will be considered. 

 

To be awarded a Graduate Assistantship you must have a GPA of 3.0 in your last 60 hours or a cumulative score of 1000 on the Verbal and Quantitative portions of the GRE.
