Course Override Form

You may only request overrides for FCS courses with this form.
For overrides in other departments, contact that department.
Complete the entire form--incomplete forms will not be processed.
Completing this form does not guarantee you an override.
It is not the policy of the FCS Department to issue overrides for students who have not satisfied course prerequisites.
If there is a problem with your request, you should hear from the Advisement Office, via Email, within 2 weeks. If you are unable to register for the course, and you have not heard that your request was denied, please email the advisor at jsfalco@ilstu.edu.
This form will only be available during registration periods. Check your Class Registration Directory (available in the Student Services Center, Moulton 107, the iCampus.portal, or on-line at the University Registrar's Web site)

Note: Typically, we do not allow students who are not FCS majors or minors to take our classes. The exception to this would be students who need FCS classes for another major and for which there is an agreement between that department and the FCS department.

List the prerequisites for the course (found in your catalog).
List the prerequisites that you have NOT had (found on your Academic Progress Summary).
Prerequisites are established for a reason; generally, the department does NOT allow an override into classes for which you have not met the prerequisites.

Indicate the 3 digit course number NOT the reference number or the title of the course. Incomplete forms will NOT be processed.
